As human beings, they are worried about their friends, family and possibly their own health too.<\/p>\n<p>Those huge levels of anxiety permeate through to stiff, formal wording that does nothing to reassure with statements like \u201cOur existing business continuity plans have been designed to support the continued delivery of product and services by providing options to mitigate the effects of a range of risks, including infectious disease\/pandemic and related impacts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The only saving grace is that it\u2019s better to do something than nothing. It\u2019s amazing how many websites don\u2019t even mention the C-word. To a consumer that doesn\u2019t mean \u2018business as usual,\u2019 it means \u2018they\u2019ve gone home but left the lights on\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Right now the number one thing any customer wants to know when they visit your website is delivery information.\u00a0 A quick look at your GA will probably show a spike in visits to the delivery page. Adopt a tone of voice that\u2019s in line with the rest of your brand.<\/h4>\n<p>Use \u2018second person singular\u2019 \u2013 the \u2018 from me to you\u2019 tone of voice.\u00a0 People read copy one at a time so talk to them as if they\u2019re the only ones reading it. Don\u2019t address them as if you\u2019re talking to a stadium or as if you\u2019re talking about someone else in the room next door.
