{"id":87111,"date":"2017-04-24T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-04-24T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.smartinsights.com\/?p=87111"},"modified":"2017-04-21T16:24:32","modified_gmt":"2017-04-21T15:24:32","slug":"small-businesses-understand-seo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.smartinsights.com\/search-engine-optimisation-seo\/small-businesses-understand-seo\/","title":{"rendered":"Do small businesses understand SEO?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><em>Chart of the Day:<\/em> New research reveals that the vast majority of small businesses have only a basic understanding of SEO<\/h2>\n<p>A recent survey by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.highervisibility.com\/resource\/research\/what-do-small-businesses-know-about-seo\/\">Higher Visibility<\/a>\u00a0asked over four hundred and twenty small business owners about how well their internal teams understand SEO, and the results paint a rather dire picture for the state of SEO in small enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>180 business owners (over one-third) either didn't know or reported that their team had no understanding of SEO. While over half of respondents\u00a0said their team only possessed a basic understanding of SEO. In today's competitive SEO landscape, a basic grasp really isn't going to get you very far.
